I have downloaded a DVD rip and I do not have a DVD burner how do I watch it on my computer? Either using it as a virtual disk or burning it to a CD RW?
I am really new to this, I have looked at the 100% thread but I had no clue what it meant.

The first thing I need to know is: the 'rip' is a MPEG (.MPG)? A .VOB? Try to be precise.

As far as I can tell it is in AVI form that is what is after the name.

Following http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106, you have to load the AVI movie with TMPGenc. When TMPGenc starts, the wizard starts (you must choose PAL or NTSC VCD and, if the movie is bigger than 80', you better split the movie with Select Range, as explained).
After you created your(s) MPG(s) from the AVI file, you can start VCDEasy (or, better, VCDGear, which is freeware) and create/burn one/two VCD(s).
    What don't you understand?

Sorry, but I cannot undestand the question 'what is after the name'.
