is it possible to burn my mpegs to a dvd disc using freeware software only? there seems to be only shareware.
i'm following a guide that goes as follows: [bold]AVI2MPG2[/bold](converts mpeg to mpeg-2) add clip click start encoding click settings go to video stream settings select dvd click ok click start click ok [bold]TMPGEnc[/bold] go to file select mpeg tools select simple de-multiplex select mpeg2 file for input click run, creating audio and video files [bold]IFoedit[/bold] go to dvd author select author new dvd select the audio file created select the video file created select a destination click ok i then just use dvd shrink and dvd decrypter to burn it. using this method the video comes out perfect but there's no sound.
ok , can you download avicodec from there site.Run your file through this program and then copy and paste the file properties into your next post please
i think i may have fixed. what i did was convert the mpeg files to .avi and then ran it through those 3 programs and now it has sound. i wish the picture quality was better and there wasn't so many steps you have to take to do all this. there's this shareware program from cucusoft where you just add the mpeg file and it converts it to dvd in seconds. it costs 20 bucks but i don't know if i'll buy it. anyway thanks
