    You'll need to first convert the .avi file to a DVD-compliant format, then you can burn the file to a DVD-/+R disk and be able to view/play it. Try using a free app called avi2dvd for the conversion process, you can then create an ISO image file that can be burned to disk.

    You can get the app here along with a guide on use with dvd decrypter for burning the image to disk;

    After converting the AVI file use Nero to burn the Video files that Avi2DVD create (IFO/BUP/VOB)

    Start nero Burrning Rom and folow the directions below. Go to the VIDEO_TS folder that was create by Avi2DVD when you converted the AVI file to DVD complient files...

    If you do not have nero then you can use IMGBurn to burn the video files by using the build option.

    I have never used AVI2DVD I either have used WinAVI or convertXTODvd which you have to pay for those programs.

    You can use Nero Vision Express to convert the AVI to DVD. So if you have Nero then hopefully you have Nero Vision Express. Which in that case you can have Vision Express burn the disc after you have converted it in 1 step.

    Below is a guide on how to use Nero Vision Express...

    It is Nero Vision Express. which comes with nero Ultra edition. You should have it listed in nero under START/ALL PROGRAMS/NERO/PHOTO & VIDEO. All you can do is see if it is there. If it is there then click on it and see if you have the correct version that lets you use it.
