HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

    sorry if im not in the right forum section....but my xbox was recently softmodded it worked fine for a while then quit...i softmodded with the SID SPLINTER CELL GAMESAVE THING.then with evox.
    like i said it worked for a while then stopped all together, Now i reloaded the origional ms dash and all but as i started backing up everything we experienced a power outtage.

    in general my xbox boots past the green flubber thing then says its "XBOX LIVE IS LOOKING FOR SYSTEM UPDATES" AND THEN GO'S FURTHER SAYING "XBOX LIVE IS NOT RESPONDING. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER." and theres no way to get past it. I tried hooking up an ethernet cable to a router and still nothing.....

    can anyone help me revive my xbox if there is a way???
