Hey guys...yet again... another annoying noob....help.....

    k, i really wanna just burn a movie i have on my comp onto dvd and be able to watch it on ym dvd player, ive checked around but since this is my first tiem doign this, i dotn knwo about any of the termanology used hence rendering to a complete halt on what to do, plz show mercy....help?

    your language is very hard to understand, but how big is the file?
    and what formnat is it currently in?

    Ok, well the file is no larger than 800 mb. and it is in avi format. thank you for ur reply. (apologies for the spelling i was rushing while typing.)

    Im currently using Sonic RecordNow.


    so would you be able to explain how and why i need to encode a file for it to be read by dvd? dotn forget im a total virgin here.

    YOUR AVI file is in its rawest form and as such your dvd player cant read it like this unless you have a divx dvd player that will play such files.So to get around this nearly all standard standalone dvd players require you to convert your files (ones that you have downloaded ) to that of mpeg2 (which is the format required to burn to dvd so that you can play them and watch them on a tv)
