    hi ya guys

ive been reading for a while now, and thought id join in (well i need some help aswell)

basically im having trouble with backing up dvds! im very new to this area.

ive read most of the how to do guides on this site, but am still having trouble.

im using a nec nd2500a burner with nero 6, dvdshrink and dvd decrypter. but when trying to back up the dvd's to my HD after 5-mins of ripping a box pops up saying there is a problem and i cant not contiue ripping.

Anyone know what im doing wrong??

any info would be of a great help.

    Many thanks

    Mark

p.s @ scubapete i found your'how to make dvd w/o nero using dvd shrink' guide excellent, have you any more help for a dvd burning virgin? =)

    Hi,

With what software are you getting this error? Just one? All of them?

    What is the exact error?

    Welcome aboard :)

Sounds like the source disc is dirty or scratched, give it a good clean & try it again

    Hi,

So your getting the read error with several different films?

In that case it may be a dirty laser lens . A shot of compressed air should do the trick or you can use one of those little lens cleaner discs :)
