I got this drive this past saturday and I have not been able to use it. ITS really frustrating since I need to make a dvd and a data disk for One of my specific classes at school, I only have till tuesday so can someone help me? ps Examples I also Have a standard dvd-rom as well and my stupid computer detects both my burner and dvd rom as one individual drive!!! could it be a software problem? or the slave/master drive Problem? SO please Help I only have Till tuesday.
hi try unistalling both drives using device manager - click - control panel system hardware device manager then find dvd/cd rom drives & right click on your drive/s then select uninstall then restart your pc & windows should find the new hardware (i.e drives) make sure that one of the drives is set as a slave drive (refer to instructions that came with burner) if that fails to resolve the problem then disconnect & uninstall the old drive & see if windows will find your new drive if it does just use the new one for the moment so as you can at least burn the dvd you need to. post back if you have any problems i hope this helps
