hi what is it DVD decoder

    It say it need a DVD decoder is there a way to downloading it on the computer or do something else i wuold like to know about right way thankz u

    If you're trying to play a DVD on your PC you need at least an MPEG-2 decoder. The best way to get one is to install a software DVD player, which you can then use to play your files. Make sure you don't play them in Windows Media Player if you want to make sure they play correctly.

    The 2 commonly used players are PowerDVD and WinDVD. Both are in Afterdawn's software section (go to Video Software at the bottom of the page and click on Video Players). There are trial versions of both available, but they are limited and won't play an entire DVD (or even close to it) unless you buy the full version.

    The basic versions of either one can be had on ebay for dirt cheap :)
