First, go here http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 and download AVG. Install and update. The go here http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php and download SmitFraudFix. Reboot in safe mode(press F8 upon boot, select "Safe Mode" from menu). Run all 3, AVG, Ewido and SmitFraudFix. After that, search for this file [bold]C:\\defender23.exe[/bold]. Searching "defender23" will do it. If you find it, delete it! If not continue... Run a scan only with HijackThis, check to fix the following entires if they still remain. Would you guys recommend AVG as a good way to get good Virus Protection? I noticed you told him to go there. I recently downloaded it and it looks pretty good to me so far.
