When will they release them in the US? I know they've been released in Japan, I'm just ancious to get one!
I realized you were refering to HD DVD Players and not Blue-ray. http://hometheater.about.com/b/a/255956.htm http://www.movieweb.com/dvd/news/02/11702.php http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060321-6426.html http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/349/C7079/ According to articles I've read, it was originally set to be released on March 28 with two different models ranging in the prices of US$499 for the HD-A1 and US$799 for the HD-XA1. However, Toshiba delayed the release and will hopefully be available by mid-April of this month providing nothing comes up again.

Hey jazo123, If you do get one, would you kindly give us a review. What I want to know, is my 6 year old dvd collection going to work with this new machine? (Most important to me).
Yes all blu-ray and HD-DVD playes play DVDs. In fact they are able to upconvert the standard def DVDs to somthing that looks alot more plesant on big screen tvs. Ced
