Since this suject concerns my attempt to compile a DVD compilation, I thought this would be the area to post the question. Apologies if I'm off the mark. I recently have used HJ Splitter to join up all the files of a movie. It done this, but the file it outputs is not recognized by Nero Express as any type of file it can use to make a DVD. Is there any other kind of software I can use that will join the segments of my movie together and have them recognized as a useable file in Nero?

yeah the file type is important nero doesnt accept anything

if its a usually acceptale file and hj corrupted it somehow try virtualdubmod:
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=VirtualdubMOD
just open the first one with vdub and under 'file' and choose 'append segment' then under 'video' select direct stream copy then under 'file' 'save as'

    later

Resolved the issue...apparently the files were rar files but I just had to actually open Winrar first and select the files, instead of the usual double clicking method. After I did that, it was all good. Thanks for the responses tho...apppreciate the help.
