With HDTVs becoming more avaliable, I'm suprised I don't hear more about the PC Television convergence. The resolution is enough to complete most any task performed on a computer, and a digital interface and progressive scan will keep everything looking sharp. It sounds like something Apple would try to market, but after looking around a little bit, a Windows based computer seems to be a better option, cheeper too. I wanted to know if anyone would share their experience making a Mac part of their home theater, if anyone has.
I'm trying to find more info. on how folks are rigging MACs for HT as well. I was planning on using a Dual 2GB G5 to do something, but I wanted to explore all the options. Need to make sure I have a machine that has the juice to playback the HDTV content after it records it...
