hey guys again. could someone help me out in setting up a home wireless network. when i use the windows xp wizard it gives me an error that the SSID i entered contained one or more invalid characters. well thanks for the help in advance. i have a ZyXEL G-2000 Plus v2
That shouldn't be happening... have you tried restarting? Also, try a 5 or 8 letter name in small letters -- your SSID shouldn't have any restrictions like this, but you never know...
ok i did that and nothing is working i tried numbers, special characters, and what not. i tried to make the network using the my computer and transfering that using a flash drive but im not really sure how that works.
and your sure that your not using any invalid characters like spaces or dashes or anything? I just googled the problems and it really did not give me anything on it. I will continue to look and see what i can find.
ya im just putting in "maniago" with out the quotes ive googled it too cant seem to find anything and tahnks
Sorry i could not find anything for you on this. I have a wireless network but i only use it for the internet which doesn't really require any set up like if you want to transfer files. For file transfer i have a 4GB flash drive that does the trick just as well. You may want to go out and find a home networking program, there are a few out there and once installed it will find any computer on your network and set everything up in very easy steps for you. like this one for example: http://www.networkmagic.com/nmlp/ho...0t4GDEENJ6Bd9i68lUIrwG9ehSFaVfTF_5n8LT37jG0ur
