I can not get my homemade audio CD-R's to play in my Computer's Sony DRU-530A Drive. Commerical CD's will play, but not my homemade cd's. I use TDK Music CD-R's (up to 32X compatible)to record off of my household Hardon/Kardon CDR 2 recorder/player. Does any know of a DVD/CD drive that will play homemade music cd's or just a CD drive, IDE or portable. I perfer portable but not a must. Thanks Steve
i just found out today that tdk are not the greatest of cd or dvd media.. i would actually get some verbatims or TY's.. much better media.. most of the time.. all the issues on this site come from bad media..
Thanks thelox714 You are no doubt right that TDK are not the best cd's. But, my homemade CD's play in my 3 vehicles, my 2 home cd players and the one I have at work. And I just bought a cheap Pacific Digital Usb CD-RW, plug it in to my computer, copied 19 of my cd's to my harddrive and then the drive malfuncion. error message on the screen said "Hareware Not Recognized" or something like that. So, It makes me think that either Sony Drive just won't recognize my homemade cd's or I don't have the DRU-530A configured correct. I'm taking the Pacific Digital Drive back to stables and try another external CD-RW brand. DO YOU KNOW A EXCELLANT CHOICE FOR A EXTERNAL USB CD-RW DRIVE. Thanks again,
