hi i recently put together a new PC. the case is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811156172#DetailSpecs I have everything working except for the thermal display on the front of the case...if anybody knows how this works and how this gets hooked up please let me know. Thanks for your help and have anice day..
have you read the manual for it? It probably mentions something about it in there. Perhaps it needs to be connected to the motherboard, perhaps it has a heat sensor that has to be hooked up. The manual should say something about it...
well the weird thing is that the case didnot come with a manual. I have no idea why. but any ways there is a wire that could be the sensor, but i have no idea where that would get hooked up. Thanks so far...
then look up the case manufacturer online, try googling for it. If its a name brand case it should have a website and a support section where you can download a manual
if its a sensor it should be 1 wire terminating to a short copper?? stick that is very thin, it is possible to put it between the heatsink and cpu, or tape to heat sink
i tried to find his case at the manufactures site and although i found the case there is no support section whatso ever so no such luck on gettin a manual and like deadcat said the sensor should be a thin copper strip bout inch inch and a half long and for the case temp i wouldnt get it to close to the cpu try to center it in the case somewhere my buddy just has his dangling in the center of his case
alright thanks for all of your help i have figured it all out. stupid mistakes.!!! i didnt have any power going to the thermal display. Really is not that hard to hook up, but thanks for all of your help.
