hopefully this will be the last post!

wow. alright i had xbmc running as my primary dashboard and was having trouble getting my ms dash to load (error 21). well i loaded my slayers disc and selected the option Install MS Dashboard. after i rebooted, nothing worked. Both the eject and power button gave me error 21. so i had to go through the game save to get back to unleashx. when i ftp'd to my C dir there were a bunch of files and folders, not just the 3 or so folders and 1 file that was originally there. how can i fix it back to where it loads xbmc dash and hopefully do so without having to replace the xbmc files, so i dont have to redo my settings. thanks

 

to further elaborate, i used shortcut maker to make a default.xbe and put it in the dashboard folder to load xbmc from f:/apps/xbmc/... when i look at the folder through ftp, the dashboard folder was untouched. so now i have no idea where its trying to boot the dashboard from. i could really use some help. if i used sid to reinstall xbmc will it just overwrite the contents in xbmc and fix it or what?
