    Could i perform a hot swap by hooking up the xbox hardrive externally through USB instead of taking the computer apart. If so is there anything i should know about hotswaping before i try. Thanks.

    No, you cannot use usb you will have to use the ide cable on pc. This guide will tell you everything you need to know Hotswap fix
