How can i make from a avi subtitration a svcd subtitration

I make a svcd from avi but no sub ... what programs do i need to transform from a avi sub. in a svcd sub. to burn it on cd and play it on my dvd player

The easiest way is to Encode the Subtitles Directly into the SVCD Mpeg2 file, This way the Subtitles will Be a Part of the Video and will Not be Selectable, If you want the Subtitles to be Selectable then that is More Difficult to do...The easiest way I know to add subtitles is to Use Virtual-Dub with the Subtitle Plugin and Frame serve the AVI file with the Subtitles to Tmpgenc to encode to SVCD...There is Probably a Guide on how to do this over at http://www.dvdrhelp.com/
