    Hi all,

I brand new to this caper and have muddled my way through about 6 avi-mpeg encodings by reading FAQ's and the valuable information posted in these forums.

Just wondering if anyone can help me with a small problem I am having? I have encoded a clip using TMPGEnc Plus 2.5. It is a 29.97 fps clip as was the original avi file. When the camera pans slowly left or right the playback is jumpy whilst the camera pans. It does not happen at any other times. I have read about 3:2 pulldown and IVTC but am not too sure what this all means or in fact if that is the problem. The original AVI clip plays smoothly during the said scene.

I have tried nearly all the tips I have found in various FAQ's such as changing the field order etc ..... I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do next. Just wondering if anyone has any tips I could try.

    Thanks for any advice guys.

What is the source material? Something you shot or something you downloaded?
