I just got Sony dru-105... Can you watch DVD movie with this burner? I inserted a movie to my burner and it doesn't play by itself... Do I need like a DVD player utility or something?
You need a mpeg2 decoder to watch DVD's. Use WinDVD or PowerDVD for this. Go to simpleguides.tk then to the tools section.
The afterdawn software section has what your looking for ; http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_players/index2.cfm Power DVD Version 5 , also Win DVD , just depends what you prefer to use , Windows media player plays them as well but I've had problems with my sony writer with media player so your as well using Power DVD
