Hi Subnet76, Could you be so kind as to give us some sort of clue as to what type of files you're dealing with ? Could it be avi's, mpeg's, ISO's, vob's etc.? Perhaps a starting point, what you have, where you want to go with it ? Are you trying to burn a vcd, svcd, mini-dvd ? Perhaps a hint as to what kind of system you have would be good too. Are you using a CD burner or maybe a DVD burner ? This info could be helpful - Thanks, ever so ) "P"

Subnet76, To get from.avi to svcd (Better video quality than vcd) I suggest either TMPGEnc for your encoder. Maybe better to just send you to - http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd2svcd_guide.cfm There ya go, Luck - Pete (next time, let's start out with a bit more info
What about the DAT files? And last of all which do you perfer using Alcohol 120% or Nero 6? (Ok sorry about that ill be more descriptive next time, my bad.)
Subnet76, DAT files are kind of fake MPEG 1 files. You have to convert them to REAL MPEG 1 files. Alcohol 120% is a virtual drive, I use mine to store movies I wish to watch later or that I may wish to burn to disc later. Nero is what you want to burn to disc. ;-) I have heard that there is a “plug in” you can purchase from Nero that will allow Nero Wizard to take your AVI’s directly to SVCD. Again, you need to convert your DAT files to real MPEG1 files and you need to convert your AVI’s to MPEG 2 files (SVCD compatible files). You do it with TMPGEnc. Pete
