i had some films in vcd format on my hard drive.
i converted them using vso convertxtodvd & winavi 7.7.
    they are now in 2 folders, audio_ts & video_ts.
some of them were only 650mb, & after i convert them they
are all in different sizes, like 2.9gb & 1.54gb.
when i use nero vision to add the movies before burning,
& i add a film at 1,56gb, it shows up in nero vision as 3.96gb..
does anyone know why it does this?
    how can i stick 2 or 3 movies on a dvd-r?
it let me do it with a couple, but now it is making
them about 6 times their original size when i add to vision..
i have a lot of different programs, like nero 7 ultra,
    roxio 7 & 7.5, dvd decrypter, clonedvd2, & a few others
i would really appreciate some help, Thanks guys :D

    >>>> i converted them using vso convertxtodvd & winavi 7.7. they are now in 2 folders,

Do them at one time in ConvertX... add both (or more if you want) original files at once, then convert. ConvertX will automatically select the correct bitrate to fit them all to a blank.

Probably because Nero's default bitrate is 5073 and it doesn't matter what the size of the input file is, the length in time does. I assume your movie is about 1 hr and 40 some minutes long. But if the input file is already DVD compliant checking Nero's Smart Encoding option (which will keep Nero from encoding the movie at the 5073 bitrate) should keep it the same size as the original.

If the 1.56G movie is DVD compliant the bitrate is probably in the 2000 range.

You can play around/calculate bitrates with this:

I'm confused? You can't stack them like this before you hit the convert button?

no because as soon as i go to action, then convert & choose
the first film it starts to convert straight away..
unless i have something in options ticked that shouldnt be..
the version of convertxtodvd im using is 2.0.13.128..
is yours the same version or is yours a later version than mine?
maybe ill need to update it :D
thanks for the help, now i know it can be done:)
**EDIT** just noticed you have a later version than me,
maybe i do need to update:-(
**2nd EDIT** just realised i can do it, instead of going to action
& then convert & choose the film, i went to file, new project, &
added the files from in the file option:)
does it matter how many i put in?
    thanks

Just hit the green "+" button and add away. When you have them all added then hit Convert.

Add as many as you want, don't write to disc, save the files to your HD and check the results. With low action, talking heads sort of files you can add quite a few. It also depends on what size screen you will be watching the end result on.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Also winavi can help you.You can select more than one files to convert to VCD once a time then burn to disc. And maybe the burn rules, the fiels it creates .mpg files must be under 650MB.So you can see the "separate the output file" in its advanced page. When burn to disc, you only need to select VIDEO_TS for burning.
    I think it's easy,right? Good luck:)
