OK, Here is the problem, one of our computers needs the name changing, I.E, When you open up Word etc, it shows a name (This computer is registered to ......), that I wish to change... Have tried to access the account, no joy, but I figure that as it is admin etc it cannot be changed, unless I flatten. I consider that to be a tad drastic!!
I don't think you are going to change the software registration name, but you can rename the computer. Go to Control Panel, click on System, the click on Computer Name. You can change the name there.
This might be what you are looking for? 1. start/run/type regedit 2. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion (just highlight CurrentVersion, dont expand) 3. To change the values of the RegisteredOrganization, RegisteredOwner, or ProductId, simply double-click on them and type what ever name you want. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE!!
Thanks for the reply guys, nice to see you still around, not been here for ages, never seem to get the time! Those options didn't do it, unfortunately... Not to worry will just leave it as it is..., once again thanks.....
