first of all i guess i need to change my drive to ntfs and i have no idea how. im running win2k pro i have 2 drives and im trying to get my second drive changed over to ntfs so itll hold files bigger than 4 gigs
Ken will post here and tell you how to do the change. However, really its not a proper change, since it shouldve been done the first time you formatted the drive for use!
I recently had to do the same thing. I used this information from the Microsoft website and it worked fine (and I didn't loose any information) Good luck http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/itpro/managing/convertfat.asp
What has this got to do with DVD R anyway?? Nothing!! Please post in relevant forums. Hopefully a Mod will move this to All other topics.
it could be related-! FAT partitions only handle files less than 4Gb. NTFS can support over 4Gb As we all know some DVD's are over 4 gig in size.
Its not related!!!! Thats like saying power supply problems on your motherboard is related to copying DVD's because you need your motherboard to work for you to copy the DVD's!!!!
I think you are going a little too deep with this one. So I guess we are just going to have different opinions on this. He asked a simple question, I gave a simple answer. Thread closed!
