Hi all. When I'm inserting permanent subtitles with virtualdubmod into my videos, I use same settings (font /size/color/type, position on screen, etc...) to all my videos, and I always need to change those settings from the default one. * I use Textsub filter. To make it simple question (hope so), how do I change the default Textsub filter settings to my own "default settings" ?
I have never been able to make this plugin work the way you are asking. http://wiki.digital-digest.com/index.php/TextSub:_Style_Editor And have never seen any responses to people who have asked the same question over the years. If you convert a .srt file to a .ssa file and edit with VobSub Resync, you can modify the file to add new 'Styles' - and these will be selectable in VDub, but they have no effect - the 'Default' settings override. As a side note you can edit the same .ssa file to remove the 'Default' entry and rename your new settings as 'Default' - but it's hardly worth the effort.
First thanks for the fast reply Second you telling me there is no way to change Textsub plugin default setting, probably someone got a way, maybe compile a new "textsub.vdf" file with an "Save" option, or even someone got a better plugin somewhere with more advanced options. It's just hard to me to comprehend that no one out there who make a lots of sub's imbuing didn't found it extremely annoying that he need to change style settings all over again each time. Well I'm still looking for an answer hope someone will surprise me.
