How do i CHOOSE to ENCODE USING x264 CODEC!

    im using virtualdub...and i downloaded the codec "x264". is it possible to choose it in the VirtualDub compression settings?...i mean how do i get it to encode with this codec because it doesnt show up in the list of codecs
    SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! ...DONT IGNORE MEEE! COME ONNNNNN!!

    I believe that ffdshow is required to be installed and in the VFW configuration screen (of ffdshow) that h264 be set for Libavcodec - but I don't have ffdshow on my PC, so I'm not sure..

    thanks alot man....sooo after that when i choose divx in virtualdub, it will be using the x264 codec?
