i got the emerson dvd recorder. But it takes really long to read the dvd. I use the laser cleaner cd but wont help it. I opened it up but cleaned it on the top of the lens. Still stuck with the same problem. Do anybody how to clean it deeply. Please help me out Thanks
Hi.. You should not have to clean it by opening the unit. A DVD lens cleaner should work fine. As for reading slowly, what do you mean? What kind of discs are you using? who makes them. The discs may be your problem.
I did use the lens cleaner disc. But that didn';t work out. I am using memorex 2x dvd-rw disc. recorder was working before but not no more. I tried all the other brand and it still didn't work. Now when i try to play the regular dvd;s it take too long to read discs. Sometime it doesn;t read at all. So please let me know do i need special kind of lens cleaner!! Thanks
How long have you had the recorder? Try unplugging it for 30 min then plug it back in and see if that helps. Sounds like your machine may need service or you may need a new recorder. Did you use the firmware upgrade?
