Hi guys- some advice please. I have been using Nero 7 Premium version 7.0.5.4 but do not have the original install disk. My worry is that if it goes down I have not got the installation disk to re-install the programme therefore: My question is: Can I back up the directory containing the programme files of which I think there are 1226 files and the size is 277.142mb I know there is a backup facility in Nero, but that would be no good if I lost the programme itself - so any help would be appreciated. I have the serial number of the product not not the disk! Easy explanations please as I am not a techie Many Thanks
Hi there thanks for your response, it's because this programme works fine it is the full suite- not the ROM or evaluation copy and contains all the codecs etc, that on some programmes you have to pay extra to download. Essentially, I just ned to know if I can back it up so it will work on the same PC again and- how do I do it Any useful suggestions would be appreciated
As far as I’m aware you can I’ve done it before but it all depends on the program look in c:/program files find the Nero folder open it if in the folder is the Nero full setup exe you can just copy the whole folder c:/program files Nero to a disk as a data disk then all you do is run the exe try it and if you’ve got a spare computer try and run the exe and see if it works saves having to download it again
Just go to Nero's website or any website that has it and download and save it to another drive or save it to any cd-r disc and you'll be fine, since you've already got the key. Why stay behind when 8 and 9 is here already? At least with the current 8.3.6.0 or Nero 9 you can do more stuff with High Definition, especially with Nero Vision and Digital/Recode (i.e. MPEG-4, AVCHD, PS3 AVC, etc.)
Thanks to everyone that has provided me with this useful information. I have not got the set up.exe only the Product set up for making changes etc- and that asks you to insert the disk. I'll try downloading the same version again and seeing if this works-presumably one just then types in the serial no for it to be activated ? as I presume that is what the "key" refers to Thanks again.
