Hello. At a website, there is a special page where you can listen to music by certain artist's of a record label. However, the song's aren't avaible for download. So, this is what I did : I right click on the song that I want. I click ''Save Target.'' It download's like a reagular song you would download from the internet. I saved it to a folder. I open it with my Nero Smart Start Burner. When I tried to drop the file on to my songlist, it just dissapeared. Then, I open it with my Window's Media Player. It play's fine. Then, I go to ''Copy to Disc.'' When I made a playlist, and went to ''Copy to Disc,'' it said ''An Error Occured'' on the song that I tried to burn on the CD, but every other song copied to the CD. Now, when I went to click the box beside the song that I wanted to burn on the CD, a song below it came up. It was the same song. Now, the song on the bottom said it was an MP3 file, and on the top it was an M3U file. I could either click the box for the M3U file, or the MP3 file. I tried both, and it didn't work. When I take the song and drop it onto the Internet Explorer page, it opens the player. I heard you can record the song that way and save it as an MP3 file, but I don't know how. If you have any information that will help me with this, please post it.

I also tried to save the song as an MP3 file when I downloaded it, but that didn't work. It will only let me save as an M3U file. Thanks.

If you would like to see what the file does for yourself go here : http://www.lapdancerecords.com/music.html the song I want is called ''Music.'' Right click on it and press it ''Save As Target.'' If you would like to veiw the song on the internet and find out how to record it for me (If it is possible to record that way) just click on the song and it should open for you. Thank you so much!

M3U (MPEG Version 3.0 URL [1]) is a computer file format that stores multimedia playlists. It was originally implemented in Winamp, although it is now supported by many applications, including XMMS, foobar2000, JuK, Windows Media Player, iTunes and JetAudio.

An M3U file is a plain text file that contains the locations of one or more media files that the mediaplayer should play. Each location is placed on a new line. The locations can be either absolute or relative local pathnames (e.g., "C:\My Music\Chanson.mp3" or "Chanson.mp3") or they can be URLs. The file can also include comments, prefaced by the "#" character. In extended M3U, "#" also introduces extended M3U directives.

One common use of the M3U file format is creating a playlist file that contains a single entry pointing to a stream on the Internet. The created file provides easy access to that stream and can be used for things like downloading from a website or emailing.

The file is saved with the "M3U" or "m3u" filename extension.

Thanks for that, but it didn't really help. Could you just tell me how to make it downloadable with Windows Media Player?
