Could someone help me. I got my xbox hdd unlocked. How do I edit the files on it. My dash is missing. I have my eeprom file but it is on the xbox hdd. What os do I need to read the data off the xbox hdd? And where can I get it?
i used my chiped xbox to fix my friends softmod. he unlocked the hdd and it woulded start back up so sence it was unlocked i put in in my xbox and started it up then ftp to it and got the stuff off that i needed then made a format disk then locked it with the computer then put it back in.
You need to get on xbins on irc. I ampretty sure there is a tutorial on this website that shows you how to get on xbins. Once your on the xbins ftp server, you need to look for xbox hdd maker. There is a tutorial on the xbox section, called how to upgrade ur harddrive and that will give u directions on where the xbox harddrive maker is inside the ftp server. Just do some research on this site and you find everything you need. You gotta love this website.
I can't find my password. I found a eeprom.bin file. I used the password from that. But the xbox says error 6. So does anyone have any idea?
Error 6 means the harddrive cannot be unlocked, but here is my reference http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/errorcodes.php. As for as the password thing, just keep looking in the files on the xbox harddrive you find them soon enough or let someone with a little more experience tell you how to find your password.
Got it. I got it back to stock. Where can I download a dash for the XBOXHDM? Can I just download the c: or something?
