I loaded mpegs into virtualdubmod because I want to add a logo on them. So I made a small banner to put in the video and added the logo, but when I try to export the video, the file size is way larger than it was when I loaded it but all I did was add one logo to it (.bmp banner). So how can I keep it at its original size or make it less? I tryed compressing it by going to "video" then "compress" then chose "xvid" but that didnt help much. The original size is about 100mb but it exports at 5gb. Please help me if you know anything about this. Thanks
Have you checked the output in GSpot or Mediainfo to verify that it is compressed? http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/mp3_tools/mediainfo.cfm
Drop the original file on Gspot. That will tell you how it was compressed originally. In VDub set the same parameters in the XviD parameters boxes.
Thanks for the replies. I tried that and it worked. I also noticed that I can just export as mpeg4 instead of xvid and that worked too. Thanks Again, I appreciate it.
