how do i fix a bricked ds lite

    My friend has a bricked ds, i thought that i would try to fix it for him. Anyways, i did some research, and all i can figure out is that i need an r4 (which i have) a micro SD (again, i have it) and some program called r4crypt. Other than that, i can't figure out what to do, r4crypt is a .exe file. So could someone write up a short and simple tutorial to help me fix it?
