When you backed up your Eeprom? That is mandatory to do with when you softmod. You didn't make a MS Backup, which is something you really should have done. Did you try booting up the Xbox by opening the disk tray? Try this, and tell us what happens.

I just wanted to unmod my xbox, because when i open tray and go on ms dashboard, i go to settings, then network settings (i want 2 play on live), when i click network settings screen just goes black and stays black so....

I thought i would un-install evox, get original dashboard back, and then try switching what i need to, then re-installing mod, and i could play on live unmodded, and mod offline...
IF U KNOW HOW I CAN FIX THAT BLACK SCREEN PROBLEM, POST PLEASE

    P.S. I play halo 2 online, no other games...if thats a help somehow :p

So start up the game you modded your Xbox with, load the linux save, and click Uninstall Softmod.
    Tell us if it works.

Try this before you uninstall the softmod, boot up Halo 2, and try to connect to XBL, the Troubleshooter shoot boot up. Start Troubleshooter, and then do the connection check, if anything is wrong, then go to settings (over to the right I believe) and configure appropriately.
