How do i get rid of the blue highlight on desktop text?

I installed a new graphics driver through Device Manager, and then a blue highlight went around text on my desktop. I installed the previous drivers that didnt have the highlight, and its still there. any help?


EDIT: I have just realized that the highlight color is the same as this thing: and whenever i change it, it goes to the color i changed it to. Is there a way to make that color see through?

 

It isn't under Advanced. It is under Effects. Uncheck the box to the left of Show shadows under menus.

 

I think you might have different features under Effects. There's nothing left to Show Shadows Under Menus

 

No, that is the same that I have. I thought that unchecking that box got rid of highlight color.

You're welcome. I know I got rid of my highlight, but I don't remember how I did it.

 

I googled the thread title, and found the problem posted on another forum. I guess you could go through all the stuff suggested there. Good luck.
