    Hi All,
I'm putting all my home video tapes onto files on my PC. using a Sony Digital 8mm camcorder, 1394 firewire & Intervideo Win DVD to capture & edit. Intervideo is converting to MPEG format on the fly. Everything is going fine except for the fact that I can't get the datestamp to appear on the files which were recorded in digital format. I can see it on the camera display OK but Intervideo doesn't give me am option to include it in the MPEG file. Analogue is fine because the datestamp is part of the video but digital is really starting to annoy me. I know that I could insert title frames etc, but that would mean that I would have to preview the tape on my camera whilst editing and also render everything. Very time consuming & providing unnecessary tape wear.

Any ideas for a solution would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Glamdring

There should actually be a setting on your camera which keeps the stamp on when you stream your media into the pc. I have a panasonic DV camera which I can choose whether to keep or remove the stamp when streaming to pc. Have you checked the camera settings?
