I dont think he will know that. First go to start in the bottem left corner and go to run. Type cmd. Then type ipconfig and it will say ip adress. Next time dont spazz.
the easiest way i can think that you can find your ip address is by clicking the connection computers either the two computer icon or one computer icon if you have a wireless connection. When the box comes up click on the tab that says "Support" When you click that you will find your address there.
also for more details in CMD, just type "ping (name of computer" for example "ping enterprise" and it will give you your IP as well as ping reaction times.
Or you go Start then all programs then go into Accessories then open up Command Prompt then type ipconfig easy as 1,2,3
start, run, type=cmd then at command prompt type=ipconfig then to get out of command prompt, type exit=enter.
I went to Run,typed cmd, typed ipconfig. It said my IP Address was 10.0.*.*. Then i went to whatismyip.com and it said: ?????????????? Is there a difference? Not familiar with IP Addresses.
10.0.*.* is your IAN assigned by IANA. 200.32.***.** is your IP address assigned by Belize Telecommunications. So...your IP address is 200.32.***.**.
escalante when i input ipconfig on xp or 2000,and ye must be on the net...this is what i get i will not put the real numbers in.. connections_ specific DMS Ssuffix ??????????????????? ip=address ???.???.?.??? subject mask=???.???.???.? defauld gateway=???.???.?.?
how did u know it was Belize Telecommunications? I no longer feel safe. Shouldn't have put in my actual IP address.
YOURS ye can tell alot from a ip address i did not post it all....edit ye post.. IP Address : ?????????????? [ bze-dist-rou03-natpool36.btl.net ] ISP : Belize Telecommunications Limited Organization : Belize Telecommunications Limited Location : BZ BZ, Belize City : Belize City, 01 - Latitude : 17°48'32" North Longitude : 88°18'33" West
bze-dist-rou03-natpool36.btl.net also corresponds to your IP. It's not a huge deal though. In the U.S., databases exist to tie IP addresses to geographical areas and even streets. Of course, they suck - apparently I live in Somerset, NJ, even though I'm 30 miles from there. All IPs are traceable. The 200.0.0.0/7 block is assigned to Latin America, is administered through LACNIC, and can be looked up at www.lacnic.net using the WHOIS tool at right. Yours is one of about 32,000,000 IP addresses in this chunk of IP space alone.
