When I play back a dvd (whether it is programs I recorded myself or a store-bought movie on my Insignia DVD recorder, the lapsed time (i.e. how much time that disc has been playing) appears at the upper left hand corner of the tv screen. I find this very distracting and it just drives me up the wall. Can someone please tell me how to make the "lapsd time" goaway. I checked the user manual and tried every possible set up for the dvd recorder and came up empty.
@hslee2102, Find the "display" button on your remote control. Keep pressing it until the display (time, etc.) goes away.
