I know this might be a stupid question, but I'd like to know how I manually (by ftp or cd-burning) change or install the dashboard? And also I'd like to know where the original microsoft dashboard is stored and what name the dashboard is stored as. Where can I install the original dashboard? Thanks in advance!
The original Xbox bios looks in the C drive for the Microsoft dashboard called xboxdash.xbe To load the EvolutionX dash manually you can either make a boot disc of the dash and then FTP the files from your PC to the Xbox harddrive. Or make a boot disc of boXplorer or Xcommander with the EvolutionX dash files on the disc and use that to transfer the files from the DVD drive to the harddrive. RustyDog
