do you have two nic's installed in your system? or one usb and one nic? can you conect to your modem with usb? you can get a CAT-5 cable and turn it into a cross over cable.....so you won't have to buy a router or hub. conect the cable to your xbox and to the NIC......Configure your NIC for the xbox to ip 198.0.0.1 then configure evox or what ever daskboard to 198.0.0.2.. hopes this gets you set on the right way.

Can you explain the purpose of this? Are you interested in using LIVE, or do you want to FTP to your XBOX using your PC? Depending on your answer will determine the prerequisites of the solution.

Ok, that makes things a lot clearer. First you don't need your cable modem.

    Your prerequisites are:
    1) XBOX is modded
    2) You have the evox dashboard loaded

    Ways you can do this:
    1) If you have one NIC in your PC, you need a cross-over cable to connect the two. Note your PC's IP Address and subnet mask. Modify your evox.ini file so that it is using static and clone your PC's settings except the 4th part of the IP address. (i.e. if you PC is using 192.168.0.1, change your XBOX so that it is using 192.168.0.x where x is any number between 2 and 254).

    2) If your PC is connected to the router, use regular cat-5 cable and connect your XBOX to the router. If your router is running DHCP, modify the evox.ini to use DHCP settings, otherwise set your IP settings the same way as in option 1).

Recommended FTP program - Flash FXP.

    Good luck.
