Say I batch encode 5 .avi files, once I get the 5 video and 5 audio files, what do I do to put those 5 video/audio files onto a DVD so there are 5 chapters. I just want it to load the video right up and be able to skip from 1 file to the next. I already made a test DVD that worked using the divx to DVD guide using IFOEdit, but that seems to only work with one file. thanks
use a AVI Splitter this is an easy-to-use tool to split AVI files http://www.brizsoft.com/avisplit/ http://www.imagespro.com/search.php3?q=make+avi To join splited files into one file, you can use AVI Joiner.
I don't quite understand. They're already separate files, I mean once I have them all encoded for DVD using tmpgenc, what do I do with the audio and video files? Do I just throw them all in video_ts and audio_ts and itll work itself out?
Hiya -Polaris-, ASSUMING that the MPEG files you have encoded are DVD-Compliant, what you need is an Authoring Program. I suggest TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5 Download here: http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/download/tda.html A starter guide can be found at: http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/tmpgenc_dvd_author.htm DVD Author is a very good intro to Authoring, and suits most people's needs. Get the program and have a play with it. We are here to help, after all. Have Fun...
ok thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out. Yea I created the mpeg dvd files, but IFO edit only works for 1 file or something. I want to take say 5 episodes I converted and put each separate episode on the DVD using their sound/video files... I'll give it a go
In that program, all you can add are video files... so when I use tmpgenc to convert .avi to dvd compliant mpeg should I keep the audio and video in the same file and NOT split them?
