Ok friend, thanks a lot for your information but i don't i have backedup my eeprom thingy!, so i just clean format the harddrive since it was not in a working condition, after i clean format it, i keep getting a green screen message in several languages saying i need to service it. But as far as i know this xbox was modded and it was running all backups. So i removed the xbox apart and tried to look for an existence of a modchip but i can't find one inside. I know thats pretty amazing. But i was wondering if this version can be softmodded? coz it says 2005 MAY. pretty new eh?

all xbox's can be softmodded and it probably is the modchip would be under the DVD Drive if there is one.....if there isnt one the only way to fix this would be to hotswap or buy a modchip...

One more thing friend, i tried hotswap, thats how i formated the drive actually, but those two softwares, one called some 360 and other one is a french software, none of them opened up the hard drive for me, did i do something wrong?

if you did it right then it would have opened them for exploring and what not but i have never done a hotswap so im not sure what you might have done wrong

if xplorer360 didnt work then your probably didn't get the hotswap right it is pretty tricky if you dont get it at the right the time drive will lock....

Ok friends, i guess got my self in a big trouble.

#1. i think this xbox was softmodded and there is no modchip inside

#2. I have zerofilled the HDD without backing up that eeprom thingy!

#3. Evox installer doesn't work, because my xbox is not booting anything, it straightaway goes to a place which says "Needs servicing"

What are the solutions for me?, get a modchip hardwired is a one, so it'll boot cd's so i can reinstall everything from evox installer.

    Are there any other solutions?

Thanks a billion for all your help! :)

Error code is 16 and there is a big green message saying "Service required" (something like it)

sounds like your going to need to order a modchip for it, the easiest one to install is solderless! then you can find slayers 2.7 and boot from it, it is a excellent program to use!
