lol sum1 help....i want to burn a 2 hour movie into a dvd but my dvd can only fit 120 minutes......so i wanna split the movie into to two files, each consisting of the same equal minutes so i can burn the two files into 2 dvds....but i can't find a program to do so......is there a good program to split a movie into equal parts?
You do realize that 2hrs = 120 mins. Most encoders have an option to split video's. The ones I've used for spliting require you to put a mb amount in so it's your best guess to where half is about. Another thing most dvd burning programs that encode their files have built in compression which allows you to have more than the 120 mins on a single dvd.
What size is your movie? If it's under 4.35GB you'll be able to fit it on one DVD- no matter how long it is.
yea but i'm using a DVDit 6 program to burn the movie (i'm buring a 1 hour and 30 min. movie now)...i was about to burn the movie but it said too large capacity.....5.3 GB....wut i dont get is that can't i fit a one hour and thirty movie into a dvd? one hour and 30 min. is less than 2 hours so it should be ok...
Run it through DVD Shrink before burning. It will resize the movie so it will fit onto one DVD. It comes down to what sort of quality you're after. You could have the same movie with a different bitrate that would only be half the size of the one you have.
