How do I use copies of DVD's created using DVDFab decrypted and DVD Shrink on my new 30GB iPod? Do they need to be converted in some way or can they be used in their current format? If they need to be converted does the iTunes software have a utility to do so?, if not are there any good free converters available, and are there any good tutorials available that could walk me through the process step by step? thank you
From the ads at Slysoft I noticed they sell a different software for converting DVD video to the mobile format. Take a look at the CloneDVD mobile. You can download it and try it for 21 days. It's a full function trial, so you can do a few movies with it. It's on sale till the 24th, $5 coupon. http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html You can use that while looking for a freeware, if there is one. Most of what I've seen is retail. You can try the AnyDVD trial to, it would be faster with the CloneDVD mobile.
@bwbeye DVDFab will decrypt DVDand Shrink will encode and burn to disc. I dont think you can use those programs for your Ipod video as the two programs were only used to copy DVD's. There is a program here in afterdawn that you can use...PSP Video 9 v1.74. I seriously dont know anything about the program and havent tinkered with it. But decrypt the movie with DVDFab and then use PSP Video 9 v1.74. It might work similar Slysofts clone DVD. Good luck.
Hi Bwbeye I use dvd decrypter and videora to convert to mp4 for the ipod. You'll have to search around for dvd decrypter now. An excellent guide is available here - http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/guides.html If you need any help the forums are excellent. Cheers
I have a question...does anyone know how I can use DVDfab and videora to put my dvds onto my ipod? i think i know how to use both programs but I dont know how to use videora to convert the DVD after I used DVDfab to copy it to my computer...there is an audio TS folder and a video TS folder and the video TS folder has some stuff in it...i think you can understand i am lost...please help!
Hello Edghoff Its really easy to use dvd decrypter and have only one file to deal with in videora. As far as I know dvdfab wont join all the vts files for you. I'm only a mug, but found the videora guide very easy to follow.http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/guides.html
you were right. it is much easier, besides the fact that it works. thatnks alot! thats dumb how dvdfab cant pull together the files...i have 1 more question--i dowloaded a music video dvd and wanted to know if there was a way i could use dvd decrypter to separate the dvd into the different bands that have their movies on the dvd instead of having to scroll through the entire movie to get to the band i want? thanks
Edghoff I'm pretty sure you cant do it with dvd decrypter. You really need a video editing program. The one I use is MPEG Video Wizard. You can download a 30 day trial and load your bands video onto it and make as many separate movies as you want and then convert them with videora. It'll take a couple of hours to get your head around it but this is an ex program that I do all my video editing with. There's also an ex download guide for it
There are several threads that discuss this. You ought to move your discussion to one of those. The problem with creating new threads to diccuss old problems is you tend to reinvent the wheel and solutions are spread out all over the place. This is the oldest one. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/253137/2688902-414283
