how do i ..........

    i have a movie file that is in the format of ---dvdscr-xvid,it is a zip file. but what is the procedure when i go to open,burn on to dvd for home viewing???? please can you make it simple??!! lol thanks. cb

    When you say Zipped files, do you mean files that have extensions like RAR.001 RAR.002 etc etc etc?

    the file/movie will play perfect on pc,but i converted it to dvd with 'convertXtodvd' but when i play it on stand alone it freezes!!!???

    theres nothing wrong with your conversion. You have a simple case of bad dvd media. Do a disc quality check on your recording. DVD movies requier at least that you have 90% percent quality to playback without freezing.
    Recommend you get some verbatims 16X plus dvd's, those are the best blank dvd's you can buy off the shelf, usually give me 95 to 99 quality on my nec/liteon/philips burners.
    If you got any further questions go to the "dvd media section" in this forum, theres a nice list of all the recommended blank dvd media to use.
    A lot of people usually blame the software or original video file, but it's always the blank dvd's, some famous name brand dvd's have the worst quality.
