How do I go about make a avi file I downloaded from the internet, and put it on a dvd? Free solution would be great.
moved to correct forum as not a news issue. also edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP as yours is 7 lines not 5 lines. 1. Text-only signatures should have at most 5 lines of text.
http://beginwithsoftware.com/videoguides/dvd-flick-guide.html Keep your burn speed around 4x or half the rated speed of the media. Another freebie, older VSO version but very good and easy, use ImgBurn to burn: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm
DVDFlick is probably the easiest and best free solution around. Download it, install it, run it, it's very straightforward, got any problems? Tell us...
Well I got it to work, but not like I would like to. Video to dvd works, I burned it using nero. But it only playes on my 360. What should I do?
VonEric: Click on "Edit My Account" in the very top, right-hand side of the page. Then click "Edit Settings", you can change your sig there. As for your problem, why did you burn with Nero? DVD Flick can burn to discs itself, and it's much more reliable as it uses ImgBurn, and excellent burning ROM. Nero doesn't convert your video source as well. Try this: -Open up DVD Flick and add your video. -Now click "Project Settings" at the top. -Select your Target Size in the General tab. -Now click on the Burning Tab, and check "Create an ISO Image" and "Burn to Disc". -Select the DVD recorder you wish to use and give your DVD a label. -Also check "Delete ISO after burning" Now try converting again and see if you get any better results.
What media are you using? Also what bitrate and quality settings did you set it to and how long is that AVI file?
