Im really new to this..I bought my X-Box modded, It has a Excuter-2 ModChip-I tried backing up Ninja Gaiden burnt copy with DVD2XBOX Game and Media BackUp Tool into the HDD Loader folder, then when the files were done I exited out of DVD2XBOX and then got back to Dashboard, turned off the xbox and then restarted, game still there but doesnt load so I went back to DVD2XBOX and deleted the game..I tried to Avalaunch it stopped on the 112th file..Then I noticed on my drive stats-They Read-C:/ 200MB , D:/ DVD Drive-0 , E:/699MB ,F:/ Err 1005..?, X:/ 749MB, Y:/ 749MB and Z:/47MB I dont understand, why soo low?..I thought the HD was like 10 gigs..? I dont even have a lot of saved games to begin with, I still have 44,784 Blocks Available.. Programs that I have on here I dont know what there for, im going through them with assumptions- Px HDD Loader, DVD2XBOX Game and Media BackUp Tool ,Xbox File Explorer, Config Magic 1.6 ,X-Box- FTP Client, XCommander R2 G:..So confuesed..! Please Help me out..Thanx In Advance..
The drive sizes report free space, not totals. You need to format your F: drive, if there is space for one. Use your dash installer disk and use the format eny.. just for F: mind. Then reboot and you will either still have very little.. a few hundred megs (8.6gb drive) or about 2gb to play with.. I shove the roms for the emulators on there.. As all your saves are on E: it isn't a great idea putting games on there.. dvd2xbox is fairly good at respecting the area used for tdata and udata, but not always, as I found out one night while testing... Some xbox drives are only 8.6GB. To get the best out of a chipped box you really need to upgrade the hdd to anything over 40. They are really cheap, and a salvaged one from a pc upgrade will do.. It doesn't need to be lockable unless you ever want to use the M$ dash for moving saves/playing retail dvd's. Ninja Gaiden (from memory) is a pretty big game.. about 3 gigs, but it should work from the hdd... check your dash settings (after deleting the failed attempt to copy it with avalaunch) and play with the game region in particular.. sometimes the in game reset settings make a difference, but not often... Finally go into E:\cache and delete anything you find in there.. it will do no harm getting rid of anything that is lurking in Z:\ as well.. but don't delete the partition or the system will not boot.
