    Hey GUy's,
I let a friend borrow my favorite dvd. Somehow the dvd is freezing up. Ok my question is how do I back up my dvd's. I got a special edition Goonie's movie for my dad. I want to back it up just in case. I have convertxtodvd and imgburn. Will these work If not what freeware programs can I get to do the job. I have no idea how to do this .So all the help I can get will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

Hi, try this link, it's a guide on how to use RipIt4Me, a great free program used to back up dvd's, you will need to install some other programs needed for it to work, there all free. The version in the guide has an installer but you might not to be able to get that one anymore.
It looks a bit complicated at first but its very easy to use once set up.

How The Backup You're Store Bought DVDs

    freeware

    1. dvdfab decrypter to rip dvd shrink to transcode(sometimes you will need to use FixVTS or VOB Blanker to clean the file before transcoding with dvd shrink) then nero, imgburn or dvd decrypter to burn.

    2. ripit4me (not being used as much it got pulled by the man but still works)
