Does anyone know how you can get the lists of written off vehicles from the insurance companies so that you can then bid/purchase them? I bought a motorbike from a private seller and he stated that the vehicle was a Cat C (Damaged, written off) and then he bought this bike from insurance company and repaired it and sold it on. Id be quite interested on seeing these lists of "hundreds of cars and bikes" each week, any ideas? As I highly doubt that by simply ringing them and asking you would be allowed to do this.
Online auction sites and local auction houses would be your best bet. I *would* phone the insurance company or your local agent and see what information they can provide. It can't hurt.
