I have a backup of Alexander as 2 700mb files and want to join them as one since I got a Divx DVD player and condense my CDs into DVDs with more then 1 movies on a disk. Im using VirtualDub to join them and did find with a couple other movies doing this but with Alexander it says The audio streams have different sampling rates. How can I resample them then join them? Thanks in advance Eric
VirtualDub's error: [bold] The video(audio) stream has different sampling rates (29.97003 vs. 29.97000) [/bold]. I really don't know how someone could have made those files, but let's suppose we notice an error like: If the error is on the video: 1) Open VirtualDub. Set Video__direct stream copy. 2) Load CD1.AVI. Do Video__Frame Rate and , under 'source rate adjustment', set "change to" 29.97. Save it as CD1_new.AVI. 3) Load CD2.AVI. As before, under 'source rate adjustmont', set "change to" 29.97. Save it as CD2_new.AVI. [Probably one process (the one with the AVI which was reported to be 29.97000) is useless, but this way we corrected the fractional differences]. Since the framerate was approximately 29..97 you shouldn't notice the warned audio desynchronization, when you made 29.97003 to 29.97. Now load the CD1_new.AVI, append CD2_new.AVI, set video__direct stream copy and Save (F7). You should not receive errore on framerate... If the error is in the audio, you just have to: 1)Load CD1.AVI 2) set audio__full processing mode. File__Save WAV. 3) use HeadAC3he, load the WAV, compress to MP3, [options >>] twice, choose MP3 'alt preset CBR' 4) load the AVI with VirtualDubMod. Video__direct stream Copy. Audio: stream___Stream List, disable the old one, add the MP3 you just made. Save (F7) --> CD1_new.avi. 5) Repeat with CD2.AVI. 6) Join... I have added this to the FAQs...
