Hi, Im a newbie. I have been successfully burning old AVI movie files to DVDR using DVD Shrink (sometimes in conjunction with DVD Decrypter). All those have been in English. I have many older AVI video movie files of foreign films with English .srt subtitles. I can watch those on my computer using VobSub, but do not know how to burn single or multiple AVi's with English .srt subtitles to DVDR. Does DVDSanta do this? I have used DVDSanta, but it is extremely slow for me. I would rather use another program(s) that might be quicker and easier. Any suggestions would be heartily appreciated. THanks, Schmynka
OK... you have several tools to put those subtitle files in a project that once burnt will show them on your DVD player... Option A (faster but with lower quality - not bad) Download VSO DivXtoDVD software. It's an "all in one" tool that with its latest version allows the inclusion of subtitles. The program has a wizard that will take you step by step on how to do it, but if you want to find out more check at the Guides section in Afterdawn. Option B (slower but with better quality) Download an MPEG-2 encoder such as TMPGEnc and also download an authoring tool such as DVDLab Pro. At the Guides section you can also find superb guides on how to encode your file and then import it to the authoring tool (where you can place your subtitles)
KOKOMO..THANKS MUCH..I hate to play the ignoramus, but where in the Guides section do I specifically go? Are there specific Guides related to subtitles?
